J ob Title: Field Product Specialist (SOC)


Reports To: Director of SOC Technical Business Development


Location: US (California)





The Field Product Specialist (FPS) connects customer challenges with Teradyne solutions to drive growth. You’ll partner with Sales, Marketing, Applications, and Engineering to shape proposals, influence product direction, and help customers succeed.





You’ll bring hands-on test experience with emphasis on Mobile compute, RF and Power Management. You’ll support customers in California, and collaborate with factory engineering and marketing; targeted training is available for the right overall fit.

Travel/Location


Customer engagement is centered in San Jose or Irvine, CA. Travel is 1-2 weeks/quarter to Asia.

Responsibilities



+ Build trusted technical relationships with customer engineering teams.




+ Identify opportunities, articulate value, and help drive wins.




+ Coordinate cross-functional experts to design and deliver customer solutions.




+ Provide customer-driven input on positioning and product/engineering roadmaps.




+ Share feedback with factory and engineering to improve roadmap and execution.

+ BS+ in Electrical Engineering or related field


+ 5–8+ years in SoC validation/test (e.g., test development, DFT, or test-enablement tools).


+ Experience with leading-edge SoC ATE (Teradyne and/or competitor).


+ Customer-first mindset; able to build relationships across customer and internal teams.




+ Ownership mindset; collaborate, prioritize, and drive closure.




+ Strong communication and presentation skills.




+ Competitive benchmarking experience is a plus.




+ Growth mindset and interest in customer-facing work.






Areas of Technical Expertise


Experience with (or interest in learning):



+ Silicon technology fundamentals and DFT




+ ATE and System-Level Test




+ Test program generation and debug




+ Power Management test for devices used in Automotive, Data Centers and Industrial applications




+ Manufacturing test




+ C#/.NET (helpful, not required)







Compensation




The base salary range for this role is $170,500-$272,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the actual salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range may vary based on demand and location.




Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
