OSP Construction Coordinator / Project Coordinator
Location: Atlanta, GA (Northern Market)
Industry: Telecommunications / Fiber Construction
Type: Contract
Position Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented OSP Construction Coordinator / Project Coordinator to support fiber construction projects in the Atlanta market. This role is ideal for a telecommunications professional with experience supporting OSP fiber deployments who excels at project coordination, stakeholder communication, reporting, documentation, and schedule management.

The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between the customer, construction subcontractor, and internal project team, helping ensure projects stay organized, on schedule, and on budget. This position is focused on coordination and program support rather than day-to-day field supervision or direct construction oversight.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate OSP fiber construction activities between customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain project schedules, milestones, and status reporting.
  • Track project deliverables and support overall program execution.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
  • Collect, review, and distribute project reporting, documentation, and construction updates.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule risks or roadblocks.
  • Support customer meetings, project calls, and status reviews.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and project records are maintained.
  • Coordinate with engineering, permitting, construction, and customer teams as needed.
  • Assist with tracking action items, commitments, and project deliverables through completion.
  • Support invoicing, forecasting, and general project administration activities as required.
  • Help maintain overall organization and accountability across multiple active projects.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of telecommunications project coordination, project management, program management, or OSP construction support experience.
  • Working knowledge of OSP fiber construction processes, terminology, and project lifecycles.
  • Experience supporting aerial and underground fiber deployment projects.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing schedules, reporting, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and project tracking tools.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting broadband, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), middle-mile, or telecommunications infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with construction reporting, project trackers, and telecom project management systems.
  • Experience working with contractors, engineering teams, and customer representatives.
  • Knowledge of permitting, construction workflows, and telecom project delivery processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate understands fiber construction but spends more time driving communication, coordination, reporting, scheduling, and project organization than managing crews in the field. They are proactive, responsive, highly organized, and capable of keeping multiple stakeholders aligned while ensuring projects continue moving forward.
Target Backgrounds
  • OSP Construction Coordinator
  • Fiber Project Coordinator
  • Telecom Project Coordinator
  • Assistant Project Manager (Telecom)
  • OSP Program Coordinator
  • Junior Telecom Project Manager

This should attract candidates in the profile and bill-rate range Amanda described while differentiating the role from a traditional Construction Manager position
