QIC Corp is hiring dependable FedEx Delivery Drivers to serve residential and commercial customers throughout the Western Shawnee and Lenexa, KS area. 

We are looking for a highly versatile FedEx Pickup & Delivery Driver who is also willing and able to perform Utility Technician duties as needed. The primary responsibility of this position will be driving and completing daily delivery routes; however, we are looking for someone who can step off-route on select days to provide additional support with utility, maintenance, and other operational needs. This position will help supplement our current Utility Technician and provide valuable flexibility and coverage when additional utility support is needed.

This position designed is for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, solves problems, and can quickly transition between driving, route coverage, vehicle maintenance, and other operational needs.

Position Summary
  • Operate different vehicles and complete different delivery routes.
  • Run full or partial routes throughout our service area.
  • Cover routes when another driver is absent or unavailable.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and stops per hour.
  • Safely pick up and deliver packages to residential and commercial customers.
  • Adapt quickly to changing schedules, locations, routes, and priorities.

Maintenance may include:

  • Perform preventative and minor vehicle maintenance.
  • Assist with truck and equipment repairs.
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Change or recharge fluids and oil.
  • Change tires, brakes, lights, and other vehicle components.
  • Wash and clean vehicles.
  • Run company errands and assist with other operational needs.
Must be:
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to step in when the operation needs assistance.
  • Work independently with minimal micromanagement.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and vehicle-maintenance aptitude.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Have excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
  • Can quickly change priorities when unexpected situations occur.
  • Communicates professionally with managers.
  • Maintains a positive attitude, even when dealing with the inevitable “uncontrollables” of daily delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities
Driving & Delivery
  • Safely operate the assigned vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Pick up and deliver packages to commercial and residential locations.
  • Safely handle packages of various shapes, sizes, and weights, weighting up to 150 lbs.
  • Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Flexibility is essential.

You must be comfortable changing gears quickly, reassessing priorities, and moving from driving to maintenance—or from maintenance back to driving—while maintaining professionalism, safety, and attention to detail.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have a valid, non-expired driver's license.
  • No CDL required.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and required approval process. NO DUI's, NO felony's.
  • Must comply with the Dept of Transportation (DOT) drug- and alcohol-free workplace policy, including initial and random drug screening. (No MJ - no prescriptions, etc)
  • Must be able to read, speak, and understand English as required by FMCSA regulations
  • Committed to long-term employment; no turnover. Candidates should have the intention of maintaining employment for at least 2 years.

**This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position. **

Schedule & Attendance
  • Full-time position
  • QIC operates 7 days a week.
  • Schedule and days worked are assigned according to driver preferences & operational needs; set schedule.
  • Start time is 8:00 AM. Must be on time daily.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Must be reliable and committed to long-term employment
