The FedEx Package Delivery Driver plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of packages along long-distance regional routes. Working independently, the driver utilizes company-provided handheld devices to track deliveries, maintain communication, and uphold safety and compliance standards. This position offers competitive weekly pay, a 5/4 schedule with an 8–10 hour shift, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive company environment. $500 Hiring Incentive and a raise after 6 months with the company.
Responsibilities
- Perform route driving and package loading for efficient deliveries
- Confirm deliveries using handheld tracking devices
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries
- Conduct vehicle inspections and adhere to safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with Operation Managers and team members as needed
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older with a clean driver's license (no cell phone or DWI convictions)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test
- Valid driver's license with ability to operate box trucks
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in package delivery or box truck operation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven safe driving record and route navigation skills
- Strong customer service and package handling abilities
- Reliable, detail-oriented with excellent time management
- Compliance with drug and alcohol testing policies
