POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR STUDENT ASSISTANT
JOB TYPE: Work Study Only – up to 19 hours per week
PAY FREQUENCY AND AMOUNT – Bi-Weekly @ $11 per hour
LOCATION: Rayburn Student Center, Suite 239
SUPERVISOR: Sandi Cragg
SUMMARY:
Student Assistant (SA) for the Assistant Vice President of Student Engagement Office will perform the highest level of customer service to visitors. SA will perform administrative duties for the office. SA will be a student employee within the Division of Student Affairs and will be expected to meet the expectation of a high-level administrative office.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
SA will perform administrative duties such as answering the phone, providing information to visitors, preparing and creating resources and materials, and running errands.
SA will be trained in the operation of standard office equipment, such as the copier/scanner, paper shredder, etc.
SA will also work with special project areas such as enhancing the office environment and other duties as assigned to facilitate the operations of the office.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be active student for East Texas A&M University. Student will be an undergrad level.
