    Job Summary

    The Federal Work Study Student Leader provides essential support to multiple areas of the Momentum Center that includes customer service, front desk operations, and assistance with departmental projects. This position is ideal for a student who is passionate about the University of West Georgia, thrives in a dynamic environment, and enjoys being part of a student-centered team.

    Required Qualifications

    • Must be federal work study eligible
    • Must be enrolled at UWG in at least 6 credit hours
    • Must maintain a GPA of at least 2.5
    • Must maintain confidentiality
    • Must be available to work Monday through Friday on a flexible schedule

    Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

    • Sitting or standing for long periods of time
    • Ability to lift 15 pounds

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Basic computer skills and knowledge (MS365).
    • Flexible & Adaptable: Can shift tasks and adjust to daily changes with ease and quick learner.
    • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in data entry and documentation and organization.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    • As needed, assist with records retention requirements for student record documents and file maintenance
    • Answer incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner
    • Route calls appropriately and provide accurate information
    • Greet and assist guests at the front desk
    • Help manage traffic flow and student lines during peak times
    • Stock and maintain cleanliness of the student lounge area
    • Support event prep including all-staff meetings, outreach tabling, and department-wide initiatives
    • Help assemble materials, supplies, and logistics for scheduled events
    • Learn and utilize institutional platforms required for customer service support, processing tasks, or documenting student interactions
    • Availability for after-hours events
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or director
