Job Title Federal Work Study - Facilities Assistant for HVAC and Electrical - Jamestown Full Time/Part Time Job Description

Provides general assistance to the HVAC and Electrical Maintenance teams

Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and completes repairs as needed

Documents completed repairs and future work requests for new equipment

Duties/Functions

• Reviews daily HVAC maintenance tasks with supervisors
• Assists with or performs repairs as needed

Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and provides reports about completed work

Difficult Challenges

• Significant climbing and/or crawling
• Environmental hazards: 30 - 70%
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Education Required

• Must have completed one semester of coursework in skilled trades (electrical or HVAC) with a 2.5 GPA

Education Preferred

• Enrolled in skilled trades curriculum at GTCC

Experience Required

• Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems

Experience Preferred

• HVAC and electrical repair work
• Knowledge of general safety procedures when repairing or conducting diagnostic work

KSA Required

• Ability to interpret electrical and HVAC diagrams and instructions

KSA Preferred

• Basic customer service skills

• Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

• Frequent crawling and climbing to reach equipment
• Potential exposure to hazardous materials
