Salary: $12.00 per hour
Description:
- Ensures esports center rules are followed and helps keep the esports center area clean
- Answers and assists with department phone calls
- Performs general clerical work (copying, filing, distributing mail, data entry)
- Interacts with all levels of university personnel, students, and the general population
- Assists in giving guided tours of the esports center
- Assists students, faculty, and staff
- Assists with social media posts and online community discussion boards
- Assists with events and initiatives sponsored by the Office of Student Activities
- Runs errands within the university campus buildings
- Assists the office staff as needed
- Serves as backup to the Student Activities department
- Performs opening and closing procedures and follows all UHD emergency procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have the ability to multitask and interact professionally with staff, faculty, and students
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be well organized, responsible, punctual, and a self-starter
- Must have good people skills and a professional attitude and appearance
- Must have effective verbal/written communication skills
- Must be familiar with video game systems: Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, PC
Qualifications:
- Must be a current UHD student
- Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study
