The consultant will partner directly with executive leadership to support critical year-end budgeting and reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities - Federal Grants Budget Allocation Consultant
- Review and finalize annual budget allocations across multiple federal grants
- Validate salary, benefits, occupancy, and square-footage allocation methodologies
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of allocations used for grant reporting and audit support
- Analyze funding distribution across departments, locations, and budget categories
- Partner with finance leadership to resolve allocation questions and verify supporting documentation
- Review financial data and allocation models to identify discrepancies and recommend corrections
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage and validate complex budgeting calculations
Qualifications - Federal Grants Budget Allocation Consultant
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA highly preferred but not required
- Required experience with federal grant budgeting, reporting, and cost allocation
- Required nonprofit accounting or nonprofit finance experience
- Controller-level, CFO-level, or equivalent senior finance leadership background
- Strong proficiency in Excel and complex financial allocation models
- Ability to work independently and manage project-based assignments in a remote environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting audits and preparing documentation for compliance reviews
- Consulting or project-based finance experience highly preferred
