FEA Stress Short Term Project - 2026
We are looking for a Stress engineer/analyst for a short term project. FEA would need to be performed on a light structure thruster design parts to see how they will move or deform, if at all, as the name of the game is light structures.
Our client has recently migrated from a design made of Ceramic Matrix Composites to very thin stainless steel both desings subjected to heat (850-900 Celsius), and their plenum is also pressurized (1.5 bar absolute) gas and similarly to cold pressurized air (2.1 bar absolute and 200 C) for same geometry.
Separately, we are looking to train our clients employee in FEA. This would be an opportunity for them to "learn on the job" with application to the particular thruster model. Our client uses Solidworks and Simeens' ANSYS but are open to other options as well.
