Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled FEA Engineer to join our dynamic team for a 12-month engagement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finite element analysis, particularly with non-linear static and dynamic modeling. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in running non-linear static and dynamic Finite Element Analysis using Abaqus, Ansys, or equivalent CAE packages. Abaqus is strongly preferred.
- Expertise in structural, thermomechanical, and heat transfer modeling.
- Experience in modeling of different classes of materials including polymers, elastomers, soft adhesives, and brittle materials.
- Experience with calibration, verification, and validation of models through physical testing.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with multi-functional teams, management, and external vendors.
- Prior work experience in the large-volume consumer electronic industry.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Additional expertise in fracture mechanics, adhesive materials, electromagnetic, acoustic, and CFD.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python, and Abaqus User Subroutines.
- Experience with using CAD tools such as NX, Solid-works.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Conduct finite element analysis to support product development and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation results into design processes.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders and management.
