Farm Ops Technician (8hr Days) $20.40

Job purpose

The primary responsibility is to assist and support the Farm Manager in activities involving sample collection, record keeping, irrigating crops, spraying weeds and other farm work.

Main Responsibilities

• Performs basic pivot maintenance.
• Changes the location where wastewater is being applied and irrigates crops as needed.
• Assists in permit sampling requirements as needed.
• Responds to odor complaints as required in the permit.
• Mow/spray weeds around Idahoan farm operations and perform snow removal and ice mitigation for Idahoan facility parking lots.
• Operates harvesting equipment as needed and hauls equipment to the different plants.
• Must maintain complete and accurate records including the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) binder.
• Must know how to operate, clean, maintain and trouble shoot the wastewater treatment plant.
• Must comply with all safety regulations, attend safety meetings and follow all company safety rules.
• Follows all good manufacturing practices as set up by the company policy.

Qualifications/Required Skills

• Education and/or Experience: This position requires a high school diploma or a GED.
• Language Skills: Must have effective oral and written communication skills to communicate with supervisor and co-workers
• Requires a valid, current drivers' license with a driving record which enables insurability.

Other Details

• Work Environment: This position requires the ability to perform various physical activities such as heavy lifting(up to 50 lbs.) and working in adverse weather or temperature conditions. Must be able to work various shifts as assigned by Supervisor.
