    EMPLOYMENT TYPE:           Full-Time, 40 hours/wk

    ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Family Based Recovery (FBR)

    Family Based Recovery provides intensive, in-home clinical treatment for families with infants or young children(birth to age 6) who are at risk for abuse and/or neglect, poor developmental outcomes and removal from their home due to parental substance use. The overarching goal of the intervention is to promote stability, safety and permanence for these families.  Treatment and support services are provided in a context that is family-focused, strength-based, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and responsive to the individual needs of each child and family.  The clinical team provides intensive psychotherapy and substance use treatment for the parent(s) and attachment-based parent-child therapy to the parent-child dyad.

    ABOUT THE POSITION: Family Support Specialist

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provides high quality, client-centered services to children and their families.
    • Demonstrates competency in topics of child development, substance use, and provides trauma sensitive and culturally competent care.
    • Delivers case management, education, referral, and crisis support as indicated.
    • Collaborates with other providers to support the needs of the client/family.
    • Works in close collaboration with program or agency staff in event of a clinical crisis.
    • Assists families in connecting to community and natural supports.
    • Participates in treatment and discharge planning.
    • Completes all program and agency required documentation, according to program and agency guidelines.
    • Documents all client and collateral contacts in client record.
    • Supports families in ensuring that youth/families connect and engage in the most appropriate level of care.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services required.

    Experience: At least two (2) years experience in a mental health setting preferred. For identified positions, bilingual capacity may be required.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license.

    Training: Will attend all required program trainings.

    COMPENSATION RANGE*:                 

    Starting at $20.30/hr minimum, and up commensurate upon experience.

    *Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of a strict calculation process, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
