Monitor/follow-up on safety measures in andaround the center to ensure the wellbeing of children, parents and staff, through routine safetyassessments.This job description is illustrative only of the responsibilities performed by this position and isnot all inclusive.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Plans and implements the goals, policies, and activities to meet the family and communitypartnership objectives in compliance with Head Start strategic plan and performancestandards.• Assists in updating annual parent involvement and family service plan in coordination withthe Policy Council, parents, and staff.• Recruits for enrollment through home visit, enrollment fairs, and collaboration withproviders.• Ensures confidential maintenance of all participant files.• Facilitates Parent involvement in program planning and evaluation of program activities, andencourages decision-making responsibilities and participation in the classroom.• Provides training and mentoring to Head Start/Early Head Start Staff, in compliance with thefamily/community partnership goals.• Maintains and updates the community resource/parent handbook directory annually.• Communicates regularly with teachers regarding any issues, concerns, and information aboutchildren.• Coordinates and conducts home visits with parents regarding incidents, absences, and otherpertinent behavior.• Initiates individual family partnership agreements with parents to identify and continuallyassess services and resources that are responsive to each family's interests and goals.• Maintains tracking system to ensure services are provided efficiently and effectively.• Gives presentations to families and community regarding Family Services goals, objectives,activities, and results.• Generates, submits, and reports to Director regarding: family/children; concerns;accomplishments; progress; and other pertinent information.• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending seminars, educationalworkshops, classes and conferences.• Attends parent meetings and assists parents as needed.• Regularly inspects and evaluates the physical condition of building and playground toensure the classrooms and kitchen/dining area have adequate lighting, free fromdeficiencies.
