    Job Description

    The Family Services Coordinator supports the Director of Family Services at Habitat for Humanity Buffalo in recruiting, processing, and onboarding program participants. This role guides participants through program requirements on their path to homeownership and maintains accurate records in SharePoint and Salesforce.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide timely responses to all Homebuyer Program inquiries.
    • Coordinate the receipt and processing of Homebuyer Program pre-applications. Ensure applicant information is accurate and record application data in Salesforce and SharePoint.

    • Coordinate application intake meetings and follow-up meetings with potential Homebuyer Program participants.
    • Coordinate the receipt and processing of completed homebuyer program applications.
    • Coordinate program participant meetings, including homebuyer onboarding and homeward bound group meetings (kickoff and quarterly).
    • Train and oversee volunteers in collecting and recording accurate monthly and quarterly participation data.
    • Assist with completing applicant financial analyses.
    • Support volunteers in providing timely program correspondence, including adverse action letters, acceptance information and program updates.
    • Coordinate home-buyer product selections with homebuyer program participants once matched with a home.
    • Coordinate final walk-through inspections, appraisals and house dedication requirements.
    • Coordinate with the construction manager to address repair and warranty issues.
    • Attend family services committee meetings and program work groups as requested.
    • Provide administrative support for home closings and grant and loan servicing requirements.
    • Participate in outreach and tabling events as needed.
    • Act as an ambassador to support the mission and values of Habitat for Humanity Buffalo.

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree in human services, business administration, nonprofit management or a related field, plus at least two years of experience in customer service, case coordination, program administration, housing services or a related area.
    • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
    • Demonstrated ability to provide responsive, professional customer service to program participants and applicants.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Salesforce and SharePoint experience is preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with applicants, program participants, volunteers, colleagues and community partners.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining applicant records, processing documentation and entering data.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred qualification

    • Knowledge of a language other than English.
