Family Office Accountant

Our client is a stable real estate organization in Orange County and this is a newly created role supporting both corporate and Principal's investments and reports to the AVP of Accounting. We are looking for an Accountant who has supported smaller organizations and very invested in the daily operations in addition to monthly reporting.

Our client is a stable real estate organization in Orange County and this is a newly created role supporting both corporate and Principal's investments and reports to the AVP of Accounting . We are looking for an Accountant who has supported smaller organizations and very invested in the daily operations in addition to monthly reporting. This individual must have the ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments to meet deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Controller with monthly financial reporting and quarterly investor reporting
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Own daily accounting including accounts payable & accounts receivable
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare variance analysis
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
• Assist in the preparation for the year end audit.
• Prepare annual reporting for third party entities and yearly tax compliance.

Knowledge/Experience

• 5+ years of general accounting experience including balance sheet and SG&A account reconciliations
• Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• MRI software a plus
• Industry experience is a plus ( investment, real estate, outsourced accounting, family office).
