Facility

Fort Yuma Health Care Center is an IHS facility serving the Quechan Tribe and surrounding Native American communities. Located at 401 E. Picacho Road, Winterhaven, CA 92283.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and disposition patients presenting for same-day or acute ambulatory care
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe medications and therapies
• Perform minor procedures within scope of practice and granted privileges
• Document encounters in electronic health record (EHR)
• Coordinate referrals and consultations as needed

Requirements

• Master’s degree from accredited NP program
• Current, active, unrestricted NP/APRN license (any US state)
• National FNP certification (AANP or ANCC)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• DEA registration with prescriptive authority
• Minimum 2 years primary care experience preferred
• IHS or rural healthcare experience preferred

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. No call, no weekends.
