Location SummaryPart-time position is for Advanced Practice Providers - Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and/or Physician Assistants (PAs) for urgent care in Elizabeth, NJ. The clinics provide high-quality walk-in medical care for treatment of acute illnesses and injuries. They also feature multiple exam rooms, digital x-rays, and an on-site laboratory. Position DescriptionAdvanced Practice Providers report directly to Medical Director and are primarily responsible for delivery of high quality medical care to urgent care and occupational medicine patients. Mid-Level Providers must also: (i) actively manage all aspects of patient care while on-shift; (ii) supervise and direct the center’s other clinical staff; (iii) ensure that all charts are accurately completed in a timely manner; and (iv) adhere to all clinical policies and protocols. Our compensation plan is based on a highly competitive hourly rate. We also cover medical malpractice insurance expenses.
Qualifications- NJ medical license for PA or NP, NJ C.D.S. card and Federal D.E.A. license;
- Board-certification;
- A.C.L.S. and D.O.T. certifications;
- Prior urgent care experience;
- Familiarity with occupational medicine;
- Comfort and experience treating patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics;
- Clinical ability to suture lacerations, drain abscesses, set minor fractures, and read x-rays;
- Clean medical malpractice record;
- Effective and compassionate communicator with staff, patients, and family;
- Willingness to mentor clinical staff;
- Highly professional appearance and attitude;
- Able to multi-task effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment;
- Willing to work 12-hr weekday and 9-hr weekend shifts, and
- High-energy individual with a positive attitude who is passionate about patient care.
