Position Overview
A well-established medical practice in Ocala, Florida is seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join its primary care team.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across various age groups.
- Conduct patient histories, physical examinations, and health assessments.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
- Order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies.
- Provide preventive healthcare, wellness counseling, and patient education.
- Manage chronic conditions and promote appropriate follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Active Florida APRN license or eligibility for licensure.
- DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
- Previous Family Medicine, Primary Care, or outpatient experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
