Position Overview
An established outpatient healthcare organization is seeking a Nurse Practitioner, with preference for a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), to provide comprehensive primary care services for a university student population ranging approximately from ages 16 to 80. This position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, relationship-focused care while working collaboratively with physicians and an interdisciplinary clinical team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients across a diverse adult and adolescent population.
- Perform wellness, preventive, and other routine health examinations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under established physician protocols.
- Deliver preventive care, health screenings, and disease prevention initiatives.
- Evaluate and treat common illnesses and injuries.
- Consult with supervising physicians and medical leadership regarding patient care as appropriate.
- Provide patient education, health coaching, and wellness counseling.
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when clinically appropriate.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers when needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Support daily clinic operations and assist with additional clinical responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications- Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with an active state license.
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or another outpatient primary care setting.
- Current BLS certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centered, evidence-based practice.
Preferred Qualifications- Active DEA registration.
- Experience with college health, occupational health, or employee wellness programs.
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
