Our client, a leading healthcare provider dedicated to community health and comprehensive outpatient services, is hiring a Family Medicine Physician. This esteemed facility seeks a compassionate and experienced Family Medicine Physician to deliver high-quality primary care services in Brooklyn, NY. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a predominantly outpatient setting with an expected volume of approximately 1820 patients daily during 8-hour clinic sessions.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions.
- Participate in quality management and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Mentor medical students informally, fostering professional development within the clinic.
- Engage in administrative responsibilities related to patient care and clinic operations.
- Collaborate with full onsite support staff, including LPNs, RNs, and MAs, to optimize patient flow and care delivery.
- Adhere to scheduled working hours (MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:00 PM), with occasional extended hours (12:00 PM7:30 PM) once weekly; no weekend clinics are required.
- Be available for rotating 24-hour on-call phone coverage, typically one week per month, involving phone-only consultations.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree with valid licensing to practice in New York State.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in a similar outpatient setting is preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish highly preferred, given the predominantly Hispanic patient demographic.
- Excellent communication skills, compassionate bedside manner, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- No visas are sponsored for this position; candidates must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and accept new residency graduates.
