Job Title: Family Medicine Coder - Full Time (FT)

What You'll Do:

•  Review and analyze patient records to assign accurate ICD and CPT codes.
• Process insurance claims and verify required information for timely reimbursement.
• Investigate, correct, and resubmit denied or rejected claims.
• Coordinate with providers and clinic staff regarding coding questions and documentation needs.
• Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Complete e-dispense forms accurately and within required timelines.
• Participate in coding quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with current coding guidelines and regulations.
• Protect patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards.

What You'll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical office experience, with some knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with providers and staff.
• Bonus Points for experience with ICD and CPT coding, previous claims processing or medical billing experience, familiarity with electronic health records and healthcare software systems.
