About the Job

You'll play an integral role in supporting a busy family law team led by a senior attorney and supported by associate attorneys, managing cases through every stage of litigation. This role offers a diverse mix of legal, technical, and analytical work, with the opportunity to take ownership of case management while helping deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cases from start to finish. Oversee case progression from initial filings through trial preparation, tracking deadlines, court requirements, and critical milestones.
  • Analyze and prepare legal work product. Draft and review pleadings, discovery, financial disclosures, client declarations, and other case materials for attorney review. Examine complex information, identify potential issues, and ensure that work is accurate and complete.
  • Keep the team and cases moving. Support three attorneys by managing calendars, organizing case materials, communicating with clients, and collaborating with colleagues to anticipate and resolve issues.

What You Need

  • Minimum of five years of family law paralegal experience in San Diego County (required).
  • Paralegal certificate (required).
  • Strong working knowledge of San Diego County local rules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Details

  • Work arrangement: Fully remote, hybrid, or in-person at our Mission Valley office.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Compensation: $35 - $45 per hour, depending on experience.
