Family Law Paralegal / Case Manager

We are seeking candidates for an experienced Family Law Paralegal / Case Manager to join a successful law firm located in Acton, MA. This position will provide high-level support to four attorneys while managing a large and active caseload within a fast-paced family law practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned legal professional who is highly organized, proactive, and client-focused, with the ability to keep cases moving efficiently while providing exceptional, white-glove service. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of progressive family law paralegal experience and a proven track record of managing a substantial caseload. Strong experience with MyCase, legal document drafting and redlining, court e-filing, and preparing attorneys for hearings and court appearances is required. Candidates must also have experience preparing 401 and 410 financial disclosure forms and the ability to proactively manage case flow, deadlines, client communication, and day-to-day case needs.

This is a direct-hire position that will pay $110,000 - $115,000 (depending on experience). This position supports a hybrid work model, onsite 4 days per week, remote 1 day per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day case management and legal administrative support the firm’s four attorneys.
  • Manage a large, active caseload of 120+ matters, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely follow-through.
  • Draft, revise, redline, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other family law materials.
  • Prepare attorneys for hearings, conferences, and court appearances, ensuring all necessary materials and information are organized and readily available.
  • Prepare and electronically file pleadings and other required court documents.
  • Maintain case calendars and proactively manage attorney schedules approximately two weeks in advance to ensure all matters are properly serviced.
  • Prepare, review, and manage 401 and 410 financial disclosure forms.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing responsive communication and a high level of personalized, white-glove service.
  • Coordinate and facilitate in-office client meetings.
  • Monitor case progress, deadlines, filings, and outstanding action items to keep matters moving forward.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve overall case management processes.
  • Maintain highly organized electronic and physical case files while ensuring all deadlines, filings, and client needs are addressed promptly.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • 6+ years of progressive family law paralegal experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a large and active caseload.
  • Strong knowledge of family law procedures, court processes, filings, and legal documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with 401 and 410 financial disclosure forms.
  • Proficiency with MyCase strongly preferred.
  • Experience drafting and redlining legal documents and correspondence.
  • Strong understanding of electronic court filing procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple attorneys, cases, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client-service mindset with a professional, proactive, and polished approach.
