    Role Description

    The Family Law Legal Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting one or multiple attorneys by managing client communications and case files to ensure efficient and effective handling of a balanced mix of family law cases. With minimal travel required, this role involves using the specialized legal software, Clio, alongside general office tools. Familiar with Apple products as well. This position offers opportunities for professional development and clear career progression into paralegal or other legal roles.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Manage client communication and correspondence
    • Maintain and organize case files and records
    • Prepare and file court documents accurately and timely
    • Schedule appointments and coordinate attorney calendars
    • Perform data entry and billing support tasks
    • Handle appointment coordination and record keeping
    • Utilize legal and general office software for case management

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 1+ years of experience as a family law legal assistance
    • Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field is preferred, or 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant
    • Proficiency in document preparation and case management software
    • Strong client communication and time management skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality awareness
    • Ability to multitask and organize effectively
    • Familiarity with legal terminology
