Family Law Attorney

Summary

A Colorado Springs based family law firm is hiring a family law litigation attorney. Candidates should be comfortable and confident in the courtroom. No prior family law experience is necessary. Current and former prosecutor and public defender attorneys are encouraged to apply. We are willing to provide training for any candidate to become successful in the area of family law. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as an attorney. We are a small boutique firm that is currently expanding and want to add to our client focused team. You will be asked to oversee your own caseload and manage your cases as needed with support and supervision. We provide a team environment where we give our clients top notch legal services. Candidates must reside in Colorado at the time of starting.

Qualifications

• Colorado Bar License is required
• 2 years litigation experience (minimum)
• Court room experience is required
• Previous experience in family law a plus
• Previous experience in conducting consults for new clients a plus
• Ability to build rapport with clients and provide great customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent legal research skills
• Ability to work both independently and on a team
• Ability to independently litigate cases at trial as lead counsel
• Strong writing skills

• Skilled in legal negotiation and effective communication to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Experience drafting complex legal documents including motions, pleadings, contracts, and settlement agreements.
• Familiarity with procedural laws governing litigation processes and court procedures.
• Prior work in a fast-paced law office environment with strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously.
• Excellent writing skills for clear legal drafting and persuasive advocacy.
