Associate Family Law Attorney

A premier, rapidly growing family law practice in Boise is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their collaborative team. This firm is dedicated to protecting clients while empowering its attorneys to meet their personal, professional, and financial goals. Key Objectives & Responsibilities

  • Manageable Caseload: Maintain full accountability for ~30 active family law cases from intake through mediation and trial.

  • Billable Goal: Comfortably meet a 1,600 annual billable hour requirement through real-time time entry and structured day-to-day workflow.

  • Client Advocacy & Communication: Provide exceptional service through systematic, empathetic communication and outstanding in-court advocacy.

  • Court Appearances: Handle regular in-person court appearances and trials in Boise and surrounding county courts.

  • Strategic Execution: Develop clear case plans, lead high-stakes mediations, and execute effective negotiation strategies.

  • Team Synergy: Collaborate daily with dedicated paralegals and legal staff to streamline case management and legal workflows.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Licensure: Active Idaho Bar License in good standing (with no disciplinary actions).

  • Experience: 3+ years of dedicated experience in: Family Law, Litigation, Mediation, & High stakes negotiations. 

Core Competencies

  • Strong emotional intelligence and empathetic client communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain objective legal analysis and professional boundaries under pressure.

  • Dynamic courtroom presence and a passion for litigation.

  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in modern practice tools (Clio, Slack, Google Suite, MS Office, Zoom).

Position Details & Location

  • Location: Based full-time in our Boise, ID office with local court appearances.
