Loudoun County Department of Family Services seeks a dedicated and experienced professional for a Family Engagement & Preservation Services Supervisor.
The successful candidate will join the Prevention & Protective Services division within the Department of Family Services, which envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all. We support individuals and families in the community to live their best lives while advocating for those most vulnerable and respecting their right to self-determination.
Job Summary
The Family Engagement and Preservation Services (FEPS) Program supports families experiencing crises and challenging youth behaviors through prevention, education, and case management services. Program staff partner with families and their support systems to promote the safety and well-being of children and youth, strengthen family relationships, connect families with community resources, and prevent family disruptions.
The FEPS Supervisor reports to the Program Manager and assists with the operational and administrative oversight of the FEPS Unit within the Department of Family Services. This position supervises Prevention Specialists and Youth and Family Support Services Specialists, coordinates intake services, and manages Client Emergency Needs funding requests.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required AND, four (4) years of directly related experience in a human services area to include one (1) year of supervisory experience.

At times, the Department of Family Services staff must respond to community and or emergency needs caused by inclement weather, natural or human-made disasters, etc. Therefore, in these very rare instances, all DFS staff must be available to work beyond the normal workday to include nights, weekends, and holidays, as required to perform functions of the position and/or situation. In addition, you may be required to work at an alternative worksite(s) within the County to perform duties that support the operational needs of the department.
