Family Based Program Supervisor

Allegheny Children’s Initiative, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a non-profit organization that provides mental and behavioral health community-based services to children, adolescents and families throughout Allegheny and Washington Counties. Provide on-going training and supervision in the development and implementation of therapeutic treatment plans conforming to the state, county, and Managed Care Organization formats.

Allegheny Children’s Initiative, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a non-profit organization that provides mental and behavioral health community-based services to children, adolescents and families throughout Allegheny and Washington Counties. Based in Pittsburgh’s South Side, we provide Intensive Behavioral Health Services, Service Coordination, Student Assistance, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Family Based Mental Health programs. All employees of Allegheny Children’s Initiative are expected to act and conduct services in a socially just and culturally competent manner. Responsibilities:

• Assist the FBMH Director with the design, development, implementation, evaluation and management of the day-to-day operations of the Family Based Mental Health department
• Weekly supervision with the FBMH Teams to assure that the teams provide intensive home-based family therapy and support services to the families in their care

• Oversee and provide on-going training and supervision to individuals and teams in the delivery of the Structural Family Therapy Model.

   

• Oversee OJT completion for new hires.

   

• Provide additional training to new hire staff following a plan developed in conjunction with the Assistant Director.

   

• Provide on-going training and supervision in the development and implementation of therapeutic treatment plans conforming to the state, county, and Managed Care Organization formats

   

• Review and approve assigned teams’ documentation (progress notes, individual treatment plans, 5-day plans, admission packets, assessment tools and other related documents)

   

• Meet with assigned FBMH staff for supervision on a weekly basis, or more frequently, according to the needs of staff and case complexity.

• Complete supervision notes in a timely manner.

   

• Actively participate in field supervision with the FBMH teams

   

• Support assigned FBMH staff with outside agency meetings as needed.

   

• Support assigned FBMH staff with WPIC presentations and competency assignments.

• Recommend appropriate therapeutic, concrete or case management services to FBMH teams

   

• Along with FBMH Assistant Director develop plans for group supervision.

   

• Manage FSS requests for all FBMH consumers, including sending FSS forms and receipts to fiscal department

   

• Track missing encounter forms for assigned FBMH staff

   

• Manage assigned FBMH staff failed activities.

   

• Ensure appointment status in EHR is kept and co-staff entries match team notes.

   

• Assist the Director in assuring that individual treatment plans are tailored to family needs, addressing each family member’s goals and objectives

   

• Complete discharge process for cases of assigned FBMH staff.

   

• Carry out administrative duties as assigned, including, but not limited to time sheets (including time off requests) for assigned FBMH staff and expense reports.

   

• Maintain working knowledge of and strict compliance with all regulations, managed care organization best practice and funding requirements, COA Standards and ACI and Partners for Quality Policies and Procedures

   

• Participate in ACI supervisor weekend on-call rotation and FBMH department weekday on-call rotation.

   

• Complete performance appraisals for assigned FBMH staff.

   

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related mental health field in accordance with regulations
• 2 years of experience as a Structural Family Therapist
• 3 years of experience working to implement the CASSP principles
• Pennsylvania State Licensure (Psychologist, LCSW, LSW, LPC), preferred
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Valid Driver’s license, Vehicle Insurance, Registration and Inspection
• Use of personal vehicle required
• Act 33 / 34 and FBI clearances required
