A family in Durham, North Carolina is seeking an experienced, polished, and highly detail-oriented Family Assistant to provide hands-on support with household errands, transportation, laundry, garment care, and light housekeeping. The ideal candidate will be proactive, discreet, and exceptionally attentive to detail.
Responsibilities
Drive the children to and from activities, appointments, and other commitments.
Run personal and household errands for the family.
Manage dry-cleaning drop-off and pickup.
Handle family laundry with a high level of care and attention to detail.
Provide professional-quality ironing and pressing of clothing.
Perform light housekeeping and daily tidying to maintain the home between weekly cleaning services.
Help keep the household organized and running smoothly.
Anticipate the family’s needs and proactively handle day-to-day tasks.
Provide occasional additional support when the family is traveling or schedules change.
Qualifications
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Advanced ironing and garment-care experience is essential.
Demonstrated ability to iron and press clothing efficiently.
Discreet and respectful of the family’s privacy.
Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently.
Comfortable driving teenagers and managing multiple errands.
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
Long-term commitment preferred.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM–6:00 PM
