Job Summary/Basic Function:

Are you looking for meaningful work that keeps you active while contributing to our beautiful campus? Lake Superior State University's Facilities Management team is seeking enthusiastic Student Grounds Workers for the summer 2026 semester.

Responsibilities will include lawn care, landscaping maintenance, leaf management, and general outdoor facilities upkeep. You'll work with professional equipment while learning valuable skills in grounds maintenance and landscape management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled LSSU Student
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Physical capability to perform manual labor and operate grounds equipment
Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous grounds/landscaping experience preferred but not required

Physical Demands:

Some Heavy lifting is required (50lbs or more)

Work Hours: 

Monday - Friday; Up to 19 hours per week with Flexible scheduling
