Description

Our client, a leading Semiconductor and Data Center Technology organization, is seeking a Failure Analysis & Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Failure Analysis & Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Hardware Validation & Engineering organization supporting Server Platform Validation, Failure Analysis, and Data Center Hardware teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Failure Analysis & Validation Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (100% Onsite)
Pay Range:$55/hr W2

What's the Job?

  • Perform root-cause analysis of silicon, board, and system-level failures.
  • Debug hardware, firmware, drivers, operating systems, PCIe, memory, power, and thermal issues.
  • Develop diagnostics, validation methodologies, stress tests, and automation tools.
  • Analyze telemetry, logs, and large datasets to identify and resolve failure signatures.
  • Support server platform bring-up, NPI activities, and production failure investigations.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor validation, testing, hardware debug, or failure analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of GPU/CPU architectures, PCIe, memory systems, and power management.
  • Experience with Python, Shell, C++, C#, or similar programming/scripting languages.
  • Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, thermal cameras, and power supplies.
