    Description

    Qualifications
    • B.S. in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Electronic Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience in hardware failure analysis or technical troubleshooting.
    • Proven background in Electrical Failure Analysis and basic hardware troubleshooting methodologies.
    • Practical expertise using standard benchtop electronics lab tools (digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, solder stations, signal generators).
    • Ability to systematically isolate defects across complex hardware architectures—starting at high-level system behavior and narrowing down to specific PCB/PCBA components.
    • Experience with power electronics, renewable energy hardware, high-voltage systems, or smart grid equipment.
    • Familiarity with surface-mount technology (SMT) rework, micro-soldering, or basic board repair skills.
    • Experience with automated test setups or basic scripting (Python/Bash) for failure reproduction.
    • Familiarity with quality frameworks (8D problem-solving, CAPA, FMEA).
    Responsibilities
    • Execute structured failure analysis on returned or failed hardware, identifying root causes from the overall system level down to component/board-level failures.
    • Utilize electrical lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies, soldering/desoldering stations, thermal cameras) to isolate electrical anomalies and intermittent faults.
    • Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and component datasheets to trace circuitry, pinpoint fault locations, and recreate failure modes.
    • Partner closely with Hardware, Firmware, Systems, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to report findings, recommend corrective actions, and prevent issue recurrence in production.
    • Clear, structured failure analysis reports summarizing problem statements, diagnostic methodology, root cause findings, and recommended design or process improvements.
