RED LAKE NATION COLLEGE Faculty - Mathematics Full-T ime Red Lake Nation College is a fully accredited, public institution that offers two-year programs grounded in Anishinaabe culture. RLNC is located on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in the beautiful lakes and forest region of northern Minnesota. While it primarily serves the Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) people of the Red Lake Indian Reservation, RLNC also has a strong distance education presence through investments in technology and instruction. In addition, a new resource site was opened in Minneapolis to better support students in the metropolitan area. As a result of its dedication to innovation and extensive student support, RLNC enrollment has doubled since 2022 and graduation rates continue to increase each year. Partnerships with Minnesota State and the University of Minnesota system provide institutional collaboration and ensure transfer pathways for RLNC students. PRIMAR Y RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach general mathematics courses as well as elective courses (Samples follow .) MATH 0900 Algebra Skills MATH 1100 Math Reasoning MATH 1200 Envir onmental Math MATH 1500 College Algebra MATH 1700 Introductory Statistics Support STEM programming through resear ch, supervision of internships, and/or college events and clubs OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Professional Development- Faculty are expected to continuously improve their content knowledge and/or instructional methods. RLNC supports this endeavor through release time and funding. Administrative Duties- This includes general instructional practices as well as participation in shared governance through committee work. Other responsibilities include related departmental and college activities. EDUCA TION/QUALIFICA TIONS: Master 's degr ee and/or a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline For candidates who do not meet the educational credentials, teaching justification may be accepted in the case of industry experience. Candidates should have experience teaching at the college or university level and be able to teach courses at all appropriate levels. Ideal candidates will be of high energy, dedicated to students, motivated by strong commitment to the mission of Red Lake Nation College.
