Factory Maintenance Technician Production Equipment

Electrical troubleshooting on production equipment (motors, sensors, starters, basic 120/240/480 — we will define what you are allowed to work live). In a short note, list the equipment you have repaired (voltage, air, heat, or mechanical) and whether you have worked in a production plant.

Deco West, Inc. is hiring an on-site factory maintenance technician in Las Vegas.


You will keep production running: lehrs, custom print and decorating equipment, air, electrical, and building odds and ends. Our in-house builder (Alex) will train you on the custom machines he built. You already need to be competent on industrial equipment. This is not a screen-printer job and not apartment maintenance.


Pay: $20 to $25 per hour based on electrical, mechanical, and heat-equipment experience. Overtime after 40 hours.


What you will do

• Maintain and repair lehrs and related heat equipment (fans, bearings, belts, alignment, controls)
• Work on pneumatics: cylinders, valves, regulators, leaks, and air logic
• Electrical troubleshooting on production equipment (motors, sensors, starters, basic 120/240/480 — we will define what you are allowed to work live)
• Minor plumbing and shop construction: water, drains, brackets, guards, pads
• Drill, tap, fit, and fabricate steel as needed for repairs and mounts
• Diagnose problems across a mix of print, decorating, material-handling, and building equipment
• Run a PM list so failures are not a surprise
• Work with production so repairs happen without killing a ship date
• Wear required PPE in a hot production plant

What you need

• Hands-on industrial or factory maintenance, not only residential handyman work
• Comfortable with tools, multimeters, and reading a manual or a photo
• Able to drill and tap metal and make a repair that stays together
• Able to work around heat equipment and production schedules
• On-site Las Vegas, full time, overtime when a line is down
• Valid problem-solving: find the fault, fix it, document it

Nice to have

• Lehr, oven, kiln, or other heat-process equipment
• Print, packaging, or custom machinery
• Welding or fabrication
• Forklift
• PLC basics (not required)
