Carlson Springs ARF is a Adult Residential Facility in Diamond Springs that specializes in the treatment and rehabilitation of clients with mental health illness. The facilities are developed for the purpose of providing non-medical treatment and rehabilitation services to 18 to 59-year-old adult mental health patients with chronic mental illness. The ARF's provide rehabilitation services that will help reduce clients’ readmissions or return to acute care facilities, hospitals, or institutions. The goal of our programs are to assist clients in reentering and functioning independently in their respective communities.
The mission of our 24-hour residential facilities is to help clients to regain optimal functionality in order to reenter their community and live healthy independent lives.
Under the direction and supervision of the Administrator, the Facility Manager performs a variety of programs and social activities in the ARF, and performs related work as required.
Supervision Received:
The Facility Manager receives supervision and direction from the Administrator.
Supervision Exercised:
None.
Duties:
- Participate with the Administrator and other management staff in planning and implementing the services program.
- Ensure documentation and proper reporting to appropriate authorities are timely and accurate.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agencies.
- Performs maintenance, safety and management tasks that promote a clean and safe working environment for the building’s employees and clients.
- Maintain facility inventory including food and supplies.
- May participate in clients’ assessments and evaluations, crisis counseling, case management, safety maintenance, referrals, chart recording, and other duties as directed.
- May accompany clients to offsite community resources or events.
- May conduct group/activities sessions with clients.
- May act as Program Director to oversee the facility treatment and rehabilitation program.
- May take clients to out of facility appointments.
- Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as living and sleeping areas, and indoor/outdoor recreation spaces
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors.
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as completing maintenance orders.
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
- Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facilities needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Support Mental Health Worker/Direct Care Staff with their duties:
- Facilitate and conduct rehabilitation activities as directed by the Administrator.
- Keep records and prepare written reports on incidents.
- Communicate the ARF rules and objectives to clients, document and immediately report noncompliance to the Administrator.
- Monitor and maintain a line of sight on all clients to ensure their safety.
- Report any sign of pre-crisis behavior to the Administrator.
- Provide supervision to Mental Health Workers.
Educational Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or possess a GED.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of full-time work experience providing direct care and supervision to clients with mental health illness.
License/Certification Required:
- CPR Certification Required.
- Valid California Driver License with good driving record.
Must pass physical health and drug screening tests and must pass criminal background check.
