Facility Maintenance Technician

Duties

• Under limited supervision, perform skilled work involving the operation, maintenance, repair, alteration and additions to; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical building systems, building furnishings and site improvements. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Perform mechanical repairs such as welding, pipe fitting, and equipment adjustments to minimize downtime.
• Assist with painting projects and general facilities upkeep to enhance the appearance and functionality of the premises.
• Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during complex repairs or projects, demonstrating leadership and supervision skills.
• Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to address facility needs promptly and professionally.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Hands-on welding skills are highly desirable.
• Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Facility/Building Maintenance Technician or equivalent experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
