Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a dependable, hands-on Facility Maintenance Technician to support general facility maintenance and workplace organization in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This position is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of general maintenance experience who is a self-starter, takes pride in keeping a facility clean, safe, and organized, and is eager to learn new skills. The successful candidate will assist with facility repairs, maintenance projects, warehouse organization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a long-term, ongoing contract opportunity with the potential for additional responsibilities and new opportunities as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general facility maintenance, including minor repairs, painting, and upkeep of warehouse infrastructure.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Safely operate basic hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks.
• Organize tools, equipment, and materials to maintain an efficient and accessible workspace.
• Assist with the setup, repair, and maintenance of offices, workstations, shelving, and storage systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance and warehouse personnel to maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Complete and maintain documentation related to maintenance activities, inspections, and 5S audits.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on workplace organization, safety, and efficiency.
• Follow established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with additional maintenance projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of general maintenance or facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Technical training or maintenance certifications are a plus.
• Experience using basic hand tools and power tools safely.
• Familiarity with warehouse or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Understanding of 5S methodology, workplace organization, and lean principles is a plus.
• Ability to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to learn new skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Use of hand tools, power tools, and required PPE.
• May require working around warehouse equipment and active production or material handling areas.
