Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Facility Maintenance Technician to support a manufacturing facility in Claremore. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems and equipment to help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations.

The ideal candidate has previous facility, building, industrial, or general maintenance experience and a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. This is a hands-on position combining preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, general building upkeep, and support for production and operations teams.

Required Experience & Skills

• 1+ years of facility, building, industrial, or maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems
• Basic plumbing knowledge
• Familiarity with HVAC systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read technical manuals and work orders
• Ability to understand maintenance documentation
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Strong commitment to workplace and facility safety

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility maintenance and repairs
• Troubleshoot building and equipment-related problems
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections
• Perform basic electrical maintenance and repairs
• Assist with plumbing maintenance and repairs
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC-related systems as applicable
• Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs
• Repair or replace defective fixtures, components, and equipment
• Respond to facility maintenance requests
• Identify potential maintenance concerns before failures occur
• Maintain building interiors and exteriors
• Repair and maintain lighting, doors, and related facility components
• Support Production and Operations with facility-related needs
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Complete required maintenance documentation
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Perform additional facility maintenance duties as assigned

Electrical Maintenance

Responsibilities may include:

• Lighting maintenance and replacement
• Basic electrical troubleshooting
• Fixture repairs
• Identifying electrical concerns
• Replacing applicable components
• Supporting general building electrical maintenance

All work must be performed within the employee's training and authorization while following applicable safety procedures.

Plumbing & HVAC Support

Candidates may assist with:

• Basic plumbing repairs
• Leaks and fixture issues
• Facility piping concerns
• HVAC inspections
• Basic HVAC troubleshooting
• Identifying heating or cooling problems
• Preventive maintenance activities
• Communicating advanced repair needs when necessary

Mechanical Maintenance

• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and facility systems
• Identify worn or damaged components
• Complete basic mechanical repairs
• Replace defective components when appropriate
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Help minimize downtime caused by facility-related equipment issues
• Communicate recurring problems to appropriate personnel

Preventive Maintenance

• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance inspections
• Inspect facility systems and equipment
• Identify signs of wear or potential failure
• Complete routine servicing as assigned
• Document preventive maintenance activities
• Report developing maintenance concerns
• Help reduce unexpected equipment and facility failures

Building & Facility Upkeep

• Maintain building interiors
• Assist with exterior facility maintenance
• Repair doors and related hardware
• Maintain lighting and fixtures
• Complete general building repairs
• Address routine facility maintenance requests
• Help maintain safe and functional work areas
• Support overall facility appearance and condition

Tools & Equipment

Candidates should be comfortable using:

• Basic hand tools
• Power tools
• Maintenance equipment
• Basic diagnostic tools
• Ladders and related facility equipment
• Other tools required for routine building maintenance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to climb as required for facility maintenance work
• Manual dexterity required for hand and power tool operation
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to safely work around machinery and facility equipment
• Ability to safely wear all required PPE
