    SUMMARY

    Facility Maintenance Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and fully operational gas station and convenience store. This role supports daily store and fuel operations through routine cleaning, minor repairs, and property upkeep.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Although other duties may be assigned, the essential duties include the following:

    • Clean restrooms, store interior, food prep areas, and employee spaces.
    • Maintain fuel pump areas, including spill cleanup, trash removal, and general sanitation.
    • Inspect pumps, lighting, signage, and equipment; report issues as needed.
    • Perform minor repairs (lights, fixtures, small plumbing tasks).
    • Assist in the repair of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
    • Assist with basic construction and the basic needs of contractors/vendors.
    • Maintain exterior areas such as parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping, and waste bins.
    • Follow safety and environmental guidelines, including spill response.
    • Assist in maintenance of small tools.
    • Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
    • Provides assistance to the Clerks, Shift Leads and Management staff when asked to help with cleaning tasks.
    • Relays areas of concern to the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • High School Diploma or GED preferred
    • Previous janitorial or custodial experience a plus
    • Minimum one (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience required.
    • Education in building maintenance or prior experience in a large commercial facility, preferred.
    • One (1) to three (3) years of previous experience working in a trade, considered a plus but not required

    REQUIRED

    • Current California Identification.
    • Ability to lift to 45 pounds unassisted.
    • All applicants are required to complete the pre-screen Background Clearing and Drug Testing

    • Temperature/Weather: Controlled
    • Bloodborne Pathogen Classification 2a: A potential exposure to human blood or bodily fluids can be anticipated within this position. Annual bloodborne pathogen training is required. The initial bloodborne pathogen training must be completed before the employee is assigned duties that may result in exposure to blood or bodily fluids. The Hepatitis B vaccination will be offered after the training. Annual bloodborne pathogen training is required for this position.
