G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc., an Allied Universal Company, is hiring a Facility Guard - Armed. The Armed Facility Guard is primarily responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through effective access control, credential verification, and monitoring of entry and exit points. The Facility Guard is responsible for verifying credentials, managing and screening visitors, controlling access to authorized areas, and serving as a visible security presence to deter unauthorized access and other security concerns. Additional responsibilities include conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, enforcing applicable rules, policies, and procedures, and providing professional and courteous customer service while maintaining a high level of security awareness. RESPONSIBILITIES:Control and monitor access to assigned facilities and authorized areasVerify employee, contractor, and visitor credentials prior to granting accessMonitor entry and exit points to identify and prevent unauthorized accessManage visitor access in accordance with facility procedures and customer requirementsMaintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity and security violationsConduct routine patrols of assigned areas and report unusual or suspicious activityRespond to emergencies, alarms, security incidents, and other situations in accordance with established proceduresEnforce applicable facility rules, policies, procedures, and security requirementsMaintain awareness of the surrounding environment and promptly report safety or security concernsProvide customer service while maintaining security and exercising sound judgmentComplete required logs, reports, and documentation accurately and timelyQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)Must be United States citizen or legal permanent residentAbility to meet and maintain any applicable licensing, including driver's license or certification requirementsAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local law; G4S will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable lawsAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by lawMinimum of two (2) years driving experienceMust possess one or more of the following: Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Law Enforcement OfficerMinimum of one (1) year of experience as a Military Police OfficerMinimum of one (1) year period of active-duty military experience (with a favorable discharge) Minimum six (6) months of experience as a security officer engaged in functions related to civil or administrative correctional operationsMinimum of one (1) year of general experience that demonstrates the following:Ability to greet and deal tactfully with the general publicCapable of understanding, interpreting, and applying detailed oral and written orders, rules and regulations, and training instructions and materialsAbility to compose reportsAbility to maintain effective communications and control during extreme situations, such as fires, explosions, civil disturbances, and building evacuationsMust be at least 21 years of ageEffective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly and accuratelyActive listening skillsAbility to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacyAbility to identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):State-issued security licenses for armed and unarmed security personnel applicable to the assigned work locationFluency in multiple languages (reading, writing, and speaking)Possession of an active federal clearanceBENEFITS:Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions Schedules that fit with your personal life goalsOngoing paid training programs and career growth opportunitiesEmployee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues and much more… G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
