    Facility Foreman Summary

    The Facility Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one or more departments within the facility. This position serves as a first-line leader, ensuring employees follow Clean Harbors' Health & Safety, operational, and compliance standards. The Facility Foreman also provides employee training and guidance, maintains accurate operational records, and supports hands-on facility operations when needed.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized training or one year of college preferred.
    • Five to seven years of related facility, industrial, or plant operations experience.
    • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
    • Ability to obtain all required site-specific certifications.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in one or more plant operations, such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, truck loading and unloading, or wastewater treatment.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to take initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications.
    • Forklift or heavy-equipment operating experience preferred.
    • Ability to frequently climb, bend, stand, walk, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to climb on and off forklifts and use vertical ladders.
    • Strong hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
    • Ability to work in loud environments and wear required PPE and a respirator.
    • Ability to travel less than 10%.

    • Train, mentor, and provide direction to new and existing employees.
    • Coordinate daily work assignments and assist with employee scheduling.
    • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to facility leadership.
    • Ensure all required paperwork and data entry are completed accurately following processing activities.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
    • Identify and communicate operational, safety, and compliance concerns to leadership.
    • Operate forklifts and other light or heavy equipment when necessary.
    • Support facility operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm activities, truck loading and unloading, or wastewater treatment.
    • Perform additional duties based on business needs.
