    Facility Engineer - US Defense

    Location: 100% onsite in Maple Grove, MN

    Schedule: 9/80 schedule – typically 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with every other Friday off

    Pay: $60.75/her paid weekly

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a Facility Engineer to support facility operations, capital projects, construction, and infrastructure improvements at a manufacturing facility in Maple Grove, MN. Reporting to the Site Facility Manager, this role will manage facility projects from planning through completion while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements are met.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage multiple facility capital and construction projects from planning through closeout.
    • Develop project scopes, requirements, schedules, budgets, and documentation.
    • Coordinate contractors, vendors, engineering firms, and internal stakeholders.
    • Oversee multidisciplinary construction activities, including electrical, mechanical, structural, demolition, carpentry, painting, and flooring.
    • Review contractor bids, SOWs, work orders, project documentation, and completed work.
    • Support facility capital planning and annual budgeting.
    • Monitor project costs and manage purchase requisitions and project expenses through Oracle.
    • Support facility maintenance, building systems, work orders, and preventive maintenance using CMMS.
    • Identify facility issues and coordinate corrective actions.
    • Conduct safety audits and support site safety, environmental, sustainability, and risk-reduction initiatives.
    • Ensure contractors and projects comply with applicable safety and environmental requirements.


    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
    • 4+ years of facilities project experience.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience managing capital projects, budgets, contractors, and vendors.
    • Experience with facility, construction, or infrastructure project management.
    • AutoCAD experience.
    • Experience with Oracle or similar enterprise systems.
    • Experience coordinating or supervising maintenance activities.
    • Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Defense manufacturing experience.
    • Experience managing multidisciplinary construction projects.
    • Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance.
    • Experience developing SOWs, bid packages, purchase requisitions, and project authorizations.
    • Experience coordinating Architectural & Engineering firms.
    • Knowledge of facility safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability programs.
