Facility Administrator Assistant

Koinonia Homes for Teens is seeking a qualified and caring individual to join our team as a Facility Administrator Assistant (FAA) to work with youth in our adolescent residential therapeutic program in Loomis, CA. The FAA position provides administrative support and supervises the youth in their day-to-day activities in Koinonia's Homes for Teens residential program. The program serves youth 12 to 18 years of age who have had early childhood trauma with mental health and/or substance abuse issues that require residential treatment.

The Facility Administrator Assistant opportunity includes:

• $23.00 to $25.00 per hour starting wage, or higher depending upon overall qualifications.
• Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic and behavioral health plan
• PTO accrual, premium pay for working certain holidays, 401k plan and more
• Supervise youth on outings, recreational activities and other vacation destinations (while getting paid!)

The schedule for this position is:

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Applicants must possess the following skills and attributes:

• Be proficient in trauma-informed care practices 
• Be adept at money management

• Critical assessment skills
• Good administrative skills

Position responsibilities include:

• Menu planning and grocery shopping
• Maintaining electronic and hard-copy client files
• Medication management
• Managing the weekly petty cash budget
• Supervising youth
• Providing transportation for youth
• Modeling appropriate and positive adult behavior
• Participating in periodic group and individual therapy sessions with social workers and youth
• Performing routine household and grounds maintenance as needed
• Performing food service duties for youth as needed
• Preparing required paperwork and reports

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate individual with good boundaries who has a passion for helping at-risk youth. They will also have good interpersonal and communication skills; good time management and organizational skills; be reliable and dependable; work productively under minimal supervision; have a high degree of integrity and confidentiality; have a reliable means of transportation; and a schedule that is flexible to meet work requirements. Must be at least 21 years of age (as required by state law), and have experience working with youth (including but not limited to coaching, tutoring, mentoring, daycare, volunteering or working in a school), OR a bachelor's degree, OR teaching certificate, OR Alcohol and Other Drug certification.

Important Note:

Qualified candidates must complete a criminal background clearance through the California Department of Justice and FBI to ensure eligibility for employment, as well as a pre-employment physical and TB test.

This position requires a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation as driving is an essential job function. FAA’s must be able to safely and reliably transport youth to medical appointments, therapy sessions, educational activities, and other essential services that support their overall well-being. In addition, the FAA must be prepared to respond to crisis situations by providing immediate transportation to ensure the safety and security of the youth, often in locations not easily accessible by alternative transportation methods. The nature of these responsibilities necessitates the ability to drive to ensure timely, reliable, confidential and effective support for the youth and families we serve.
