As a Facilities Utility Maintenance Technician, you’ll be the hands-on problem solver who keeps building systems and equipment operating safely and efficiently. Your day blends preventive work, quick-turn repairs, and clear communication so production never misses a beat.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Carry out routine facility maintenance and on-the-spot repairs to keep systems reliable.
• Prioritize tasks based on work orders, operational urgency, or direction from a supervisor or lead.
• Interpret general instructions, technical drawings, specification documents, plant layout diagrams, manufacturer catalogs, and verbal guidance to complete assignments.
• Perform regular testing and inspections to verify proper and efficient equipment performance.
• Execute the established preventive/routine maintenance program and document results.
• Respond promptly to emergencies; troubleshoot mechanical issues and restore equipment to service.
• Complete all required paperwork and maintenance records accurately and on time.
• Communicate proactively with your supervisor on quality, maintenance, safety, production, and related topics; obtain approval before deviating from standard procedures.
• Keep your area orderly and clean; practice strong 5S/housekeeping habits.
• Follow all safety rules and environmental regulations at all times.

Environmental Stewardship

Follow facility environmental procedures, including proper knowledge and execution of waste handling, labeling, transportation, and disposal requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade skills preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and speak English is required.
• 1–3 years of related maintenance experience.

Physical Requirements

• Able to move up to 50 lbs and perform frequent lifting, bending, walking, and reaching.
• Manual dexterity and sufficient visual acuity to perform precise mechanical tasks.

Core Proficiencies

• Mechanical troubleshooting.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10).
• Equipment repair and preventive maintenance.
• Machine safety inspections.
