The FCAT Process, Facility, and Equipment Manager is an onsite role which is located at 8555 Lynch Road, Detroit Michigan. We are looking for a hardworking, facility and equipment knowledgeable candidate with a passion to lead positive change at our Detroit terminal.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
- Monitoring permit and certificates
- Oversee routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating maintenance work
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
- Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
- Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
- Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
- Allocate office space according to needs
- Handle insurance plans and service contracts
- Forecasting and monitoring parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Oversee the receiving of parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling them
- Overseeing special orders
- Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs
- Head any equipment project (creating business case, loading in to Ariba, conduct trials)
- Spec'ing of all equipment
- Strong organizational, project management and leadership skills to prioritize and coordinate the efforts of the team
- Develop long-term organizational strategies/plans to meet future business needs and growth opportunities
- Benchmark new technologies and produce business case to senior leadership for driver and mechanics efficiencies and productivity
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 8 years of Experience with heavy duty truck and trailer repair experience and spec'ing
- Experience with heavy duty truck and trailer parts, Product knowledge to ensure they identify parts correctly and recommend the needed parts
- Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems
- Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members
- Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities
- Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with experts from many disciplines and organizations to develop and implement benchmark processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree with 10 + years' experience preferred
