The Facilities Technician acts as a lead on the Facilities team, and reports directly to the Facilities Manager. This role is never dull and benefits from the variety of locales and maintenance challenges that cycle from month to month. You will be equipped with a company vehicle to work on projects at multiple TEC locations including Sacramento, Dixon, Stockton, Oakland, and San Francisco. Perform repairs to buildings, including HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and irrigation. Also performs repairs to fixtures and furniture.General maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness in the organization to ensure that the facilities and equipment are in good working order at all times.Performs landscaping duties to include mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, fertilizing, and spraying on company property, as required.Performs preventive maintenance in all areas of the facilities.Completes all maintenance/facilities requests as assigned and keeps Facilities Manager informed of progress.Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.Alert the Facilities Manager of any unusual occurence and/or damage on the property.Properly maintains all departmental equipment including vehicles, tools, and work equipment in clean, orderly and operational condition.Writes routine reports and correspondence as needed, including expense related reporting.Works cooperatively with other staff memner using a team approach.
