    SUMMARY

    The Facilities Technician performs a variety of duties to ensure the smooth operation of the facility. They may include general maintenance, supply tracking and client transport.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintains clean, safe and orderly work areas

    • Monitors visitation of Clients with family

    • Coordinates, performs, or assists in repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing

    • Utilizes software system to track and complete work orders

    • Understands how all facility equipment functions to ensure safety compliance

    • Assures all lighting fixtures are operable with the necessary bulbs in place

    • Coordinates with Facilities Manager to prepare properties for inspection and deadlines

    • Performs various support duties to include but not limited to

    • Assisting with employee office moves

    • Greeting contractor/vendors

    • Ensuring satisfactory completion of contractor/vendor work

    • Travels to other Red Rock sites as needed

    • Transports items via the internal courier program

    • Performs routing safety inspections and maintenance checks of agency vehicles

    • Coordinates van schedules with staff members as required

    • Transports clients to and from Red Rock as required

    • Maintains mileage logs and maintenance logs

    • Monitors and restocks facility supplies as necessary

    • Troubleshoots and performs general maintenance practices in a safe manner

    • Performs other duties as required

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
    • One year of general maintenance experience preferred

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Must have the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
    • Must have the ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 70 pounds
    • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
    • Ability to use telephone, PC, fax machine, copy machine, and printer
