The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Technician to support maintenance and repair needs across ARL locations. This role helps ensure our buildings, equipment, vehicles, and workspaces remain safe, functional, and prepared to support the animals, staff, volunteers, and community members who depend on us every day.
This is a great opportunity for someone with facilities, maintenance, repair, construction, equipment operation, safety, or related hands-on experience who enjoys solving problems, responding to operational needs, and supporting a mission-driven organization through practical, behind-the-scenes work.

This position works in active facilities, grounds, and animal welfare environments and may require frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, equipment operation, vehicle operation, outdoor work, and occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
The role may involve frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow. Work may also involve exposure to animal odors, animal waste, moderate noise, zoonotic diseases, disinfectant solutions, cleaning smells, and the possibility of bites or scratches while following established safety procedures.
