WorkSmart Staffing is hiring a Facilities Technician for a well-established beverage manufacturing company in Arden, NC!
With over 80 years of experience in beverage co-packing, this company specializes in producing non-alcoholic, non-carbonated beverages for major retailers and food service distributors.
Our client is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Facilities Technician to help maintain facility equipment, support safe operations, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems, including ammonia refrigeration, boilers, compressed air systems, and wastewater treatment equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, dock equipment, and other facility systems to identify and address potential issues.
Assist with developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules using MaintainX CMMS.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
Support facility safety and compliance programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and applicable standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and repair needs.
Collaborate with other departments to support operational efficiency and facility needs.
Assist with emergency preparedness planning and response procedures.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in facility operations and safety.
Follow company safety, quality, and food safety standards while reporting potential violations or concerns to leadership.
Previous experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in food and beverage manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and facility maintenance practices.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments to meet operational and compliance goals.
Familiarity with maintenance management software and systems.
Relevant certifications are a plus but not required.
